Chicken Broth Bones (10pk)

We receive our chicks when they are one or two days old. They spend their first 2-3 weeks in our brooders where they relax with fresh water, grit, feed and heated lamps overhead. 

As soon as they can handle outdoor conditions they are moved into our predator-proof pasture pens where they will spend their next 5 weeks. These shelters protect the chickens from predators, rain and heat while simultaneity giving them access to fresh pasture, insects and sunlight. 

Once on pasture, our broilers are moved every single day onto fresh grass. This system keeps our birds healthy and ensures the pasture receives an appropriate amount of disturbance and recovery. Through proper management, this process feeds the soil and promotes grass growth, increasing the health of our pasture over the course of the pastured poultry season.

The diet of our pastured broilers includes grass and insects, and they are supplemented with locally grown and milled non-GMO feed. The feed is comprised of whole grains, legumes, and premium minerals - it gives them all the nutrients they need to be healthy. 

These chickens never leave our farm! When it comes time to process and package, we suit up and handle the job ourselves. This allows us to pay close attention to detail and provide you with the highest quality product possible.
